Unwinding Back Home

Not too long ago, I had the chance to take a short vacation and spent some time back home at Bacolod City. Then again it was really due to some errands. I got to spend the weekend with the family though, so it wasn't too bad despite the nasty humidity and heat that makes one feel like being baked when stepping out of air conditioned rooms. Not too many photos though. Terrible heat and some creeping sick feeling means not too much action. I still managed to take some random pictures though.

If I'm not at home playing with the dog, I'm out on an errand with my brother, or dining out with dad. We got to revisit an old favorite hangout... 

Apart from old hangouts, my brother also showed me around and found some other interesting places, like this one.

Before going back to Manila though, the family still prefers tried and tested places that we know we like. Like at a local chicken place favorite...

Before finally leaving for Manila, I wouldn't forget to say goobye to Momoy. I always have fun spending time with this adorable runt.

While waiting for our flight at the airport, I bumped into a familiar face. While I'd like to say I've epic skills chatting up with strangers, that's not the case...  

And so I' fly back to Manila and back to reality yet again. More stories soon. Until then, let's get lost and wander! :)

The Way Back - Narita Layover

While Nashville was fun, warm and welcoming, we inevitably had to leave. On one chilly Friday morning, we met up at the hotel lobby and embarked on our journey back to Manila. We flew to Atlanta, and almost missed our flight to Japan. The flight to Japan has been long and unforgiving. We've had some respite when we touched down in Narita. From there, we had some time to unwind a bit before our flight to Manila. I thought it'd be an opportunity to look around the airport.

Flight back to Manila has been uneventful after that. As of writing, Abbie has already completed her volunteer work and went back to the USA. This concludes my adventure - for now. It has been quite a trip, really. With some fatigue and satisfaction, I went home. I wonder, next time where'd I get lost in and wander... Who knows. But I'm sure it'd be interesting.

Dinner With Office Folks

While we didn't have exactly the time to go wander around Nashville during working days, on our last two nights before flying back we got treated to some awesome eats by one our bosses there. It was actually amazing each night. On the first night we went to this Bar/Restaurant/Brewery called Fat Bottom. Apart from the awesome food, it had great music. On the following night, I forgot to take note the name of the other restaurant. It was a fine dining place, and food was great too.

I did mention previously that we were going home.  But our visit here wasn't going to end without any going away gathering.

Not too long after our night ends. All of us happy and grateful for the lovely meal and the successful trip overall. We didn't stay out too late, as we still had to finalize packing our things, and we had to leave early in the morning. While the trip back was uneventful, it didn't mean that it wasn't going to be interesting... Until next time! :)
